Qualities of Good Men

Train the Body

You don't rise to the occasion. You fall to your training.

Train not to be admired — to be useful. To be the one still standing when everyone else sat down.

The iron doesn't care about your excuses, your mood, or your story. It asks one question: can you lift it, or can't you? That's exactly why a man should train — not for the mirror, for the truth. The gym is where you practice doing the hard thing when no one is watching, so that when life finally tests you, you don't have to rise to it. You fall to your training.

A strong body won't make you a good man. But rep after rep, it teaches you that you are not as weak as you feel — that you can suffer on purpose and come back tomorrow. And that discipline leaks into everything: your work, your word, your temper.
